Welcome to the Explore Fiber Fiber Arts Digital Instruction Application page! We want to put more groups and instructors together to pass on our knowledge of working with fiber as a fine art material! In this time of COVID-19, face to face workshops and classes are problematic, and who knows how long this will last?!? In order to be responsive to our collective situation, we are gathering a list of instructors that are available to teach classes or workshops using various fiber processes and/or materials through digital means – Zoom workshops, online classes and workshops, or video lessons. If you would like to be considered for this list, please fill out the form below. Listings will be free of charge.
The Fiber Arts Digital Instruction Resource Page (presently under construction) collects broad stroke information. We are not able to keep up with any time sensitive events or information. We will post instructors’ contact information by media, and it is up to an individual, event coordinator, or an organization to contact the instructor and get the detailed information they need to see if an instructor will be a good fit for their learning experience.
Explore Fiber’s mission hosts a collaborative site that showcases and promotes using fiber as a fine art material. We are interested in high quality process and technique instruction. We hope the fiber arts world at large will find this information useful and that you will contribute in order to make this resource vital and thriving.
To apply to be considered for the list, please fill out the contact form below. If you teach more than one type of media or class, please complete the form for each class you want to be listed for.
(NOTE: This form doesn’t allow uploaded images or documents. If you have course graphics, a PDF overview of your course, or images that promote the course, you can email them to explorefiber@gmail.com, with your workshop title in the subject line. I will create a slider that will accommodate images and post it under the title of your class/workshop, along with links to upload document attachments.
