Explore Fiber is a collaborative website showcasing and exploring fiber as a fine art material.
Justyna Wołodkiewicz reached out to me recently about her unique artistic expression of combining embroidery with polymer clay 3D elements.
This is the kind of collaboration Explore Fiber embraces: sharing, informing, collaborating, and celebrating! Here’s what she said in her email to Explore Fiber:
I’d like to share my new project – it is polymer clay and embroidery combined. It’s totally my idea, very fresh, and suprising for me. I haven’t seen anything similar anywhere. I’ve stitched several hoops so far, and I feel I can’t stop.
I’m in love with the effect, hope you are too. 🙂 I’ve written about the project on my blog and facebook. I publish a lot on Instagram. I’m a self taught artist, passionate explorer and enthusiast. A girl in her late twenties.
I’ll really appreciate publication on your blog!
When you are an artist the things that matter are ideas, the creative process and above all the message and self-expression. That’s the source of my joy at least. I stubbornly play that game of art because it is the sense of my
life. It is fulfilling and it is fun.
I celebrate art. I do it despite life circumstances, discouragement and lack of income from artistic activity.
Justyna, you are my kind of girl! I think many of the readers can relate to your passion, your creative spirit and your excitement to keep working with fiber! Her Etsy shop, Nibyniebo, means “just like the sky”. I don’t know about you, but I can see her flying high with her wonderful work!
