Explore Fiber is launching a monthly newsletter this fall to go into depth about topics of interest to the fiber art community.  We have a new subscription box in the top right corner of the website header.  We would love for you to sign up – we will not abuse your subscription!  We will add fresh fiber art news to your inbox once a month!  Here are some of the topics that will be featured:

 Teacher Highlights

We want to highlight teachers that are incorporating fibers into art education curriculum whether they are in a public, private, home school or university program or organization.  To be considered for inclusion in a future newsletter, fill out this form and we will be in touch with more information!

Fibers and Technology

Fibers are one of the most important materials in the 21st century!  Smart fibers are being developed to monitor our body systems and used as new strong materials for new architectural uses.  Fibers can transmit light and can change color thanks to nanotechnology.  Stay up to date with technology updates in our newsletter feature!

Continuing Education

Explore Fiber was honored to be chosen as the 2nd place winner in the Wild Card category for their Art Ed Blog of the Year award a few years ago!  We take pride in this distinction and continue to strive to bring the best inspiration, resources, curriculum ideas, and community bridge for fibers as a fine art material!  But we know there are other wonderful sites and blogs you would love to know about, so one feature will highlight online sites we think you will be interested in.
